  • We have become so incredibly dissatisfied with our timeshare ownership with Bluegreen. They have lied to us over and over again since our original purchase and we are doing everything we can to relinquish this contract. I've included some of our more serious complaints in this to try and get in touch with Bluegreen and also warn anyone considering buying a timeshare. At our original presentation, we were sold on the views and the "unlimited" vacations. Though we constantly said "no", they continued bringing in managers to seal the deal. The line they used to convince us to sign was that if we waited, the maintenance fees would increase. Apparently, every 2 hours that you don't sign the contract, the maintenance fees increase. During this presentation, we were also taught how to rent out our unit to pay our maintenance fees, but this was far from what actually happens. The availability during the course of our ownership has been nonexistent. I had to upgrade to a Platinum owner, thinking it would allow us to book and actually be able to travel. The stipulations stated that we could book a vacation 2-3 weeks ahead of time, instead of booking a whole year in advance. Unfortunately, this was far from the truth as well. Every single time we've tried to use the ownership, we've had to call to get more help and when we would call, the only thing they would do for us is convince us to upgrade. Finally, we decided not to even try and use the timeshare because we knew no matter what we do or how we use it, we're going to get pressured into purchasing more. Not having this ownership would help our financial situation substantially. Because of the extremely high cost, we cannot afford to travel or do anything else. There is such a difference financially that our retirement would come a whole 5 years earlier than what it will be right now. The maintenance fees are now up to 1/6th of our entire salary, which is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable for never being able to use it. Why are we paying so much money for something we cannot even use? And the points are worthless! It doesn't matter how many points we have, it's never enough to actually make a difference. We are now doing whatever we can to get out of this contract. We are hoping Bluegreen notices this and responds by providing us a few different relinquishment options as we simply cannot continue with this disaster. - ***** and ***** ********
  • Got a call for winning two trips. Very high pressure. Wanted me booking within 5 minutes on the phone. When I declined I was asked why. When I started explaining I wasn't even 15 seconds in and I was repeatedly interrupted. When I asked to be allowed to continue I was hung up on. I requested time and more info so I could look over what they had to offer. Was trying to tell them what process made me comfortable and what I wanted to look up. Company has no interest in what I want or my feedback. Just wants my money.
  • Bluegreen timeshares work on a points system and are rigged to get you to spend more and more money with them. When we actually tried to use our points, the days that we could afford were only during the latter part of the winter season. Anything around the spring, summer, fall, or the earlier part of the winter season was too expensive and would have taken all our points. Plus, we would need to spend even more money on an additional 20,000 points just to have a 3-day vacation. This is unacceptable!! Bluegreen is a predator company so be careful! ****
  • We love our Bluegreen Timeshare. Although we were skeptical at first, we did some research, checked out a few resorts, spoke with other owners and thought about how we Vacation and determined Bluegreen would be a great value to us. We have visited 6 resorts in two years and have enjoyed every one. The amenities, the staff, the surrounding areas and variety of activities have been unbeatable. We just returned from a family vacation at Mountain Run in Boyne, Mi and our entire group, ages 4 months-69 years had a blast. We love being able to share happiness with family and friends! Please note, I realize timeshare ownership is not for everyone so please do your homework before purchasing. I love our Bluegreen and haven't regretted our decision at all.
  • We have never before bought something we were not even able to use. Bluegreen deceived us into making a bad investment, as there is no benefit from owning this timeshare. Their salespeople lied to us and coerced us into signing the timeshare contract without giving us the information we needed to make an informed decision. Their deceptive, coercive tactics and lies should make it unlawful for them to continue doing business with innocent, unsuspecting, hard-working consumers. They should be made to release their owners from their contracts and return all the money we feel they stole from each of us. ****** and ********
  • I have had problems with my Bluegreen timeshare contract 2667176 since Day 1. My vacation in Charleston was ruined when my girlfriend found out I had purchased the stupid thing. I have not been able to travel to use this. There were promises of being able to get rooms at other locations. Martha's Vineyard was the one I was most interested in, but after signing the contract and attempting to make reservations, I have found that it is always sold out and my points would never be enough to get a reservation there even if there were spots available. I believe the cost of a Bluegreen timeshare versus the benefit received makes buying one the worst money-decision one can make. The promises of availability and inexpensive stays across the world are misrepresentations, to be sure. No one should have to pay for something they can't use. Brian
  • We have been extremely unhappy with our timeshare ownership we have with Bluegreen. A couple of months ago, we wrote them in an attempt to bring our complaints to their attention and to get our timeshare contract cancelled. We waited over a month for the so called "board" to make a decision. When I finally received a call, all I was told was that my request to cancel was denied. They did not provide explanation as to why, and didn't offer any alternatives or options. They had the nerve to tell me to sell my timeshare (points) on the open market. We are reaching out to you now in hopes of an immediate response from Bluegreen to review our request again to immediately cancel our contract. Or at the very least, provide options to cancel. **** and ******** ********
