- Do much research before hand, we didn't quite understand what we were signing up for, very much got pressured twice, first apparently a "sampler package" and was told to turn it at an update meeting into a permanent because its a "no brainer and we would be losing if we didn't". Cant afford to keep up with this and now over $26,000 loss from our retirement just to get the interest rate down as they told us to do. We cannot get ahold of anyone to figure out how to give it back and maybe put that money towards some real family vacations that we were hoping to have with our kids. The fees are just too much to keep up with and cannot afford to use the timeshare now. Hoping a representative can contact us because our many attempts have not worked. There needs to be a solution for situations like this, sell it out for what you paid and hand it back over. Hoping someone will contact me so we can figure this out. It is a huge stressor right now for our family.
- Our home resort was purchased by Diamond. We have had an unpleasant experience EVERY time we have booked our owners week. Currently, we book a vacation exchange in February 2020. We are less than 72 hours out and the resort still has NOT received the reservation. I have been on hold for over an hour waiting to speak to a supervisor because I want confirmation that the reservation has been sent. I provided Diamond the fax number and email to the resort for the reservation to be sent to. Still nothing....I am beyond frustrated.
- My husband and I have also been lied to, reps are rude to us and we are terribly disappointed in our experience with Diamond! My advice to anyone thinking of buying is "BUYER BEWARE"! I believe we were scammed. We bought a package that I felt should have been considered part of the new package we upgraded to. We have requested a manager take a look at our package to see if this is not the case. The manager that I did speak to was rude and simply said she would correct the salesperson for some of the things he did and used as a sales tool. We texted him, I called and left message, I finally got a hold of him he said he would call Monday in regards to our concerns, of course this did not happen. They claimed to have given us a break because we owned a timeshare of theirs, again they lied to us, other people got the same break! We had friends buy (I am so sorry now) we got zilch credit! We were supposed to have gotten $500.00 for the referral, we got nothing! My husband and I are totally fed up with Diamond!
- Terribly overpriced for the quality of resorts. I own timeshares through !Marriott and Hilton, much nicer and a fraction of the cost both to purchase and annual maintenance fees. Diamond is seven times more expensive annually than either of those! Also, when I bought Diamond, the Luxury program was why I bought. Unfortunately, in three years since my purchase that has gone way downhill, with very little to offer. They did not live up to their end of the deal! Don't buy, you'll regret it.
- I had an experience much like the ones posted. My husband and I own a timeshare with Diamond. We have had a good experience with them. In sept 2019 we bought some sample points that would be good until 2021 to see if we want to change to points or keep our current time share. We booked a vacation for March 2020. We had to cancel due to COVID. I literally have been trying to get a hold of someone for months to talk to. I was finally able to talk to someone today about our points. We asked if our points could get extended to 2022 as our state is at a level 3 and we would have to quarantine to wherever we would go. Also people in my family have some high risk issues and we are not comfortable traveling at this time. The person we talked to was rude and said that there was nothing that she could do. She was not listening to my concerns and was very nasty. We asked to talk to a supervisor and she said that they would call me in 72 hours. I do not have faith that anyone will call as I have been calling and leaving emails and messages for 4 months!!
- This is the worst company! They lie all the time. I and my husband were told that we could refinance the timeshare outside and it was easy. When we repeatedly said that we were concerned about the refinancing options they assured that it is easy and possible and that they can take it back if we cannot refinance. So after checking for options since we could not refinance, we contacted them back and that is when they said that they never take it back! They lied to us to our face ! If this company had ANY value, they would not lie and promise something like this! Every thing stared with a lie - They said that it was a 1 hr presentation and then we were kept there 4.5 hrs and were given all the wrong information. They said we will be done paying and that we can use it like a 2nd home and that we can gift it to anyone. They never said that we need to keep paying and we actually are passing this debt to our kids! Please never trust this company! Share this with everyone you know. If someone can lie like this and take someones money, I think you need to file a complaint against them.
